Realize Your Path

As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.
— Henry David Thoreau

Take a step closer to the path chosen for you.

Breathe into the space where you are currently.

Sometimes we are in such a rush to achieve a desired way of life that our goals and dreams will dictate our every move, action and response. Other times, we might feel lost when our path isn’t clear or when we unexpectedly experience major setbacks. For some people it takes years to understand their calling in life. While some people may have been born with an innate purpose. Whichever category that you fall in, it is almost guaranteed that at some point or another you will be faced with disappointment. Someone you meet might not appreciate your talents, a love or close relationship may end, or a career aspiration may lose momentum and cease to unfold as planned.

"Realize Your Path"

"Realize Your Path"

Instead of being filled with despair or sorrow due to a certain circumstance, can you shift your perspective? Can you realize the bigger picture at hand? Could every failure, loss or heartbreak be an opportunity for continued growth? Could you consider these momentary setbacks to be like propellers to carry you forward into the future? Your path isn’t intended to a be linear one. It might be full of unexpected twists and surprising turns. But could every twist and turn serve a greater purpose? Could every deviation along your path be a learning opportunity?

Let each digression help you to build resiliency. May each variation in your life serve as an opportunity to connect deeper with yourself, your higher purpose and with others.

Realize that the path for you isn’t one that is necessarily clear, but rather is a part of the great mystery that is life. Remember that even though there are twists and turns throughout your life that it is still one unified pathway. The many desires and dreams that you possess can become one dream. The many loves that you have and have lost can become one love. The countless situations that you experience can become one situation. The multitude of paths that you have walked will become ultimately one path that unites both your love and your desires.
