Live in Your Truth
What does it mean to live in your truth? What does it mean to be truthful?
The truth is, it’s an incredibly challenging undertaking to live a life of authenticity. With the pressures of society, we often conform to the social norms. Life has a way of throwing curveballs and sometimes we’ll find ourselves in a position that we ask, how did we get here? When caught in the wheels of life it seems impossible to escape to life we want. However, daring to live an authentic life is perhaps the most noble and important work that you’ll ever take part in.
Reveal your truth.
It is a challenging but rewarding path to inner-liberation and growth. Being truthful doesn’t just mean to avoid telling lies. In the Yoga Sutra, Patanjali refers Satya or "truthfulness" as one of the most important practices for his disciples. He goes on to write, “When grounded in truthfulness, action and its fruition depend on him.”
As simple as this sounds, what we feel and need is not always so clear. What helps pull us through this is our integrity. Integrity is honesty. Integrity is having the strength to avoid a life of lies for yourself or others. The sanskrit word Satya directly means “actively becoming the truth of the universe.”
When we actively become the truth of the universe, we don’t have to turn away from ourselves and others through lies, instead we can actively live in and reveal our truth.
Truthfulness includes and reveals the small details of your soul that no ones know but yourself.. Truthfulness requires that we model integrity and express our soul, so that we may lead a life of truth and freedom.
What is your truth? How can you separate and free yourself from whatever holds you back from revealing your truth in this life?
What do you want from yourself? What do you want from those around you? You are the living truth—make a commitment and promise to reveal your power and truth to the world.
When you focus on the truth, you are step into your authenticity. When we dare to express and share what is inside of us, the more alive we become.
