Concerning all acts of initiation, there is an underlying boldness that exists. So, when the moment comes that we must commit to whatever we set out to do there has to be this power within to propel us forward. These desires and dreams are already within us. They are just waiting for us to begin. When we conceive an enterprise and commit to it even in the face of our own fears, something wonderful happens. We begin to open up.
Similar to the the flowering bud that spreads its pedals and opens toward the Sun or the baby chick that relentlessly pecks at the inside of it’s shell, the world waits for us to give birth to ourselves, to that person we were born to be, to the destiny that is in front of us, but always within.
When we make a beginning, we get out of our own way and step into our own genius that magic space where power and boldness both lie. When we make a start, we are saying yes. When we initiate and commit to our dreams, we are boldly stepping into a space of transformation.
One of my favorite authors, Cheryl Strayed, says:
Step boldly. Open. Bloom.
